9 Frequently Forgotten Items to Supply for Your Guests

Here's How To Help Your Guests with the Most Frequently Forgotten Things to Pack

Guests are sometimes so excited about their trip that they actually forget to pack the things they really need. Or they simply don’t have space to bring along items for every scenario.

We’ve compiled a checklist of the common items that guests leave at home.

Providing some of these potentially forgotten items can go a long way to help your guests have a relaxing time at your property.

Toiletries

From hair ties to shampoo, if you can think of it, your guest may have forgotten it.

Any bathroom-related item is a good fit for your welcoming toiletry kit. These items will make an immense impact on the comfort of your guest’s stay, and may lead to a kind review for your thoughtfulness.

Some other examples are a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, earbuds (q-tips), razors, moisturizer, makeup remover, nail clippers, nail polish remover, face wash, a comb, hairspray, hair ties and contact solution.

Electronics

Hairdryers are large and guests don’t always have the space to pack them, especially in carry-on luggage. So including this will make your guests with long hair very appreciative!

Chargers for phones and electronic devices. It’s the thing guests always mean to bring, but often overlook.

First Aid Supplies

From headache tablets to band-aids, it’s always helpful to have some of these items available in case your guests need them.

Earplugs

A set of earplugs are a good way to help your guests get a good night’s rest.

A Map

Most guests will have Google Maps, but some overseas tourists’ phones won’t have global roaming, so a good local map is invaluable.

Umbrella or Rain Poncho

Most guests won’t bring their own umbrellas. An umbrella or a couple of rain ponchos would be a thoughtful addition to your property to help keep your guests dry.

Sewing Kit

The last time I went to Christchurch and my button popped off my lovely peach blazer so I couldn’t wear it for the rest of my stay as I didn’t have a sewing kit with me. A needle and thread would have gone a long way!

Reusable Water Bottles & Coffee Cups

As an eco minded property you may like to supply reusable coffee cups and bottles that guests can borrow while they stay. You could even brand them with your properties logo for extra marketing around town!

Reusable Grocery Bags

Self-catering guests will love the thoughtfulness of providing a reusable grocery bag for their shopping.
